Be careful with your credit card
There are a few things you need to remember and consider before going ahead and signing up for a credit card deal. Having a credit card is a big deal, despite what some people might tell you about it (they’re probably rich), and you cannot get it wrong, not even the first time, because in todays financial market your name will be dirt in a matter of minutes…
Here are a few tips to keep your credit scoring nice a clean and above board:
- Don’t, no matter what, use your credit card to cover day to day spending like your shopping, petrol and bill payments unless you can pay them off at the end of the month. This is very important because before too long you will begin to supplement your income with your credit card, and this is one of the worst things you can do; you will almost certainly end up in bad debt.
- Don’t get a credit card to get yourself out of an exisiting debt. This is another sure way to get into trouble. The only reason you should do this is if you are transfering a balance from one credit card to another. After you’ve made the transfer destroy the original card and cancel the account.
- Never use your credit card to withdraw cash from a machine. This is financial suicide and something you certainly do not want to get into.
- If at all possible PAY OFF YOUR BALANCE AT THE END OF EVERY MONTH!
