Student Credit Cards

Student credit seems to be the done thing these days.  If it isn’t a student loan then there certainly needs to be some form of cash injection to get them through university.  Parents can only meet some of the bills and if you’re not a parent who has money to burn then you simply can’t fully support your child through Uni…

Of course they could get a job.  Did i just swear, it would appear that about 10000 students just clicked off the page.  Just kidding of course, and even if your son or daughter does get a job whilst studying there is no guarantee that it will be enough to get them through.  Universities are in cities and those places are expensive.

This is why it becomes necessary to find a student credit card that will work for your son or daughter without letting them get into too much debt.  They will often have enough money to get them by but it will need spreading out so that they can afford all the things they need.  This is something a student is pretty much incapable of doing, so if they have a credit card and they can be sensible (that’s a big chance i know) there is no reason why they can’t spend on the card for the things they need and then when they get their monthly pay they can pay off the balance of the card.  If they do this they will eventually increase their credit limit though, and this is something to watch with caution.  You do not want a student with a large credit limit!
